Sat, 21 November 2009 Welcome to the wonderous episode SIXTY SLEVEN. Yes, that's right, SLEVEN.
The first segment you will find chock full of nuts, rumors, and news as well as some banter and shout outs.
The second segment we delve into Richard actually winning a game for once and then transition nicely into Dirty Dan getting schooled by a Chaos Marines player. Then we take a few tangents but mostly talk about how to take and hold objectives smartly.
And finally the third segment starts with another Fool on the Hill then rolls gently into Dave getting his Ultramorons ready for an upcoming tourney.
We hope you enjoy this show and if you don't, come tell us on our forums!!!!! Comments[0] |
Sat, 14 November 2009 In this weeks episode we discuss the career of Steve Guttenberg. We delve into some of the rumors flying around and summed up on Bell of Lost Souls. Mack tells us about "The Black Crusade" which is a giant Apocolypse event happening at Source Comics on Feb 27th that he will be flying out to attend. We also give special thanks to Stephen Hope. In our second segment we contemplate the nature of sportsmanship through direct examples instead of being smart or making a good show. We also talk about some games we played. Our third segment is all about our first rogue trader game! We need feedback... how was this segment? Come to the forums and chat with us! For those of you still asking where to send donations... it's HERE. Every bit is greatly appreciated! Comments[1] |
Sat, 7 November 2009 This show almost recorded itself - so easy a caveman could do it.
This week we discuss a few more Tyranid rumors and then get into our plans for the DLT Planetary Empires League and what we want to do at the next Adepticon. For the second segment we get into expanding your local gaming scene and what you can do about not having enough players. We start the third segment with a new idea called "Fool on the Hill" and then get into a rant supplied by a listener and forum user. The show closes with 27 successful saves made by C-Swizzy. As always, we hope you enjoy the show and wish you luck in everything you decide not to do. Comments[0] |
Sat, 31 October 2009 Episode 64 is out now, brought to you by the The Great White Stephen Hope. We recorded before his donation, so he'll also be getting credit for our next episode!
Anyhoo, we talk about some stuff in this episode, including but not limited too... How sexy John Leguizamo is in drag. Richard and Mack's mystical connection. The new Terrain and Box sets coming out from Games-Workshop Ian and Chuck respond to forum postings The nature of troops and their role in various armies. Rogue Trader! Comments[0] |
Sat, 24 October 2009 Blood Angels and Tyranids? We're still holding out for Space Dwarves! For this show, Dan/Jon/Chris/Rich/sometimes Skrivus and special guest LEWIS, we discuss some Gamesday Italy rumors for Nids and Blooad Angels and the coming year of some 40K (but mostly Fantasy) releases from GW. Then we get into buying armies for cheap and how eBay is your friend. Then prophet Dan gives us his 7 eBay rules and how to shop smart....shop S-Mart! Finally, we Buttal/Rebuttal with IVC on how mechanised infantry may or may not be the way to go. We close some with mish mash and jibber jabber for another late recording night! We hope you enjoy this show but we especially hope you notice we don't know how to finish......<that's what she said!> Comments[0] |
Sun, 18 October 2009 In this weeks episode we... Discuss Rogue Trader. An awesome new book in the Warhammer 40k Roleplaying line up. We love it... especially the art. Then we stream of consciousness a bit just to see how you guys like it. Those of us who know the rules of 40k talk about Footslogging an army as opposed to mechanized lists. We talk a lot about the future of 40k, in game terms. What does the 42nd millennium bring? What do you think will happen? RAMPANT SPECULATION! WOOT! Then we have a buttal/rebuttal that is sure to delight and terrify you. SPOOOKY MARINES! No not really spooky at all. It's about Loyalists and Chaos Marines. I tried to think of something else to talk about, but I couldn't. Comments[0] |
Sat, 10 October 2009 In this episode, we try to make lederhosen cool again! Rich, Dan and Jon are joined by C-Swizzy again - back by popular demand. In the first segment, we get into some rumors and rumor control regarding Tyranids and Space Wolves. In the second segment, we get into some upcoming Black Library novels and then Dan attempts to break down the Space Wolves codex. You will either be one of the mass of people playing it or crying about codex creep. We round out this segment by discussing Rich's Chaos Intervention and some of the changes he's made with his back to basics approach. He also gives you an assignment. The third segment starts off with our Buttal/Rebuttal on people spending large amounts of money usually equaling a tournament win. And we finish the segment and show with some rambling and nonsense. We hope you enjoy this episode and hope you never find stained boxers that aren't yours in your underwear drawer. Comments[1] |
Sat, 3 October 2009 We start off this episode talking about Nidz and the new Space Wolves box sets. I'm really enjoying them! There are some rumors and some blatant speculation on our part when it comes to Nidz and some great joy over the Wolves boxes. Our second segment involves me admitting that I missed the tournament I was prep'ing for cus I'm really really dumb and got my dates mixed up. Our last segment involves me mispronouncing this word over and over again. As well we talk about the Eldar and the birth of Slaanesh along with unit redundancy as our first "Buttal & Rebuttal". Enjoy! Comments[6] |
Sun, 27 September 2009 For this episode, we want you to consider that you are the cause of it all going wrong. In this most excellent and always on schedule webcast, Rich, Dan, Jon and O-Steve have nearly the greatest adventure ever told. In the first segment which Dan walks in on, we discuss some stuff in a discombobulated manner. For the second segment, we discuss some battle reports and Richard begs for an intervention. We get into some Planetary Empires chatter and the Veteran Gamer Conglomerate of Jon and Dan press their case for mechanic changes to PE while Richard turns aside their advances. To close out this segment, we get into the different types of people that are into this hobby. Which are you? To close out the show we press home the importance of extending hobby etiquette to the internet venues you visit. Then we have a pseudo OR/UR while simultaneously asking you to crack open your rules book for a "Did You Know?" segment. We hope you enjoy this webcast and want you to know that your backside would make an excellent vase. Comments[0] |
Sat, 19 September 2009 Here is another completely unprofessional recording of 3 guys talking overly opinionatedly about a topic you are trying desperately to enjoy. In the first segment we discuss Space Wolves (cus you can't escape it) and Kevin and Mack talk about how much they are enjoying Space Hulk. In the second segment the guys talk about Dark Heresy (trying out a new segment they are unsure of) and then they say the word "Synergy" 419 times while trying to discuss how that word works it's way into 40k armies. In our last segment the guys forget that they received the most AWESOME LIMERICK EVER and instead just talk about the Timeline of 40k in general. Then there is some crying and maybe a bit of hidden blooper love. Comments[1] |
Sat, 12 September 2009 Ever wonder what an inside out anus looks like? Listen and you may find out. Tonight we cover such diverse topics as 40K and 40K and yet more 40K. Joined by Casey and Nick, we delve into the painting of Planetary Empires and the fun that can be had. We also find out Skrivus is 'that guy' (on some level) and that Richard can be a poor sport. For the second segment we get into the playing of Planetary Empires and talk about 4 battles for PE involving our 750 lists. We also discuss what went right and what went wrong in our buffed up lists. In this segment, we find out that Dan is a list-tooling douche. And the third segment is comprised of an email by Raistlin inviting Richard and Dan out to dinner with his wife - we accepted. We also get into some over-rated/under-rated about Librarians and uberlists and round things out with "Did You Know?" This episode comes with the FDA stamp of approval concerning maximum fecal matter levels for general consumption. As usual, these are the show notes so that I don't forget what we did. Expect the actual show within about 16 hours. Comments[5] |
Sat, 5 September 2009 So here it is, Doug and Mack are sans- Ian this week and it shows!
They do this weird thing where we have focus... but not nearly as much
fun! We begin by discussing this tasty FAQ GW put out for our consumption Then we talk about some Space Wolves rumors that we found particularly interesting. We also announce the winner of the Necron Army, and talk about the great bags we are getting for our winners from BattleFoam.com! In our middle section we chat about some other fun stuff, namely the thoughts we have on preparing your army list for a tournament. We are ourselves, after all, prep'ing ourselves for The Grand Waaagh GT. Lastly we discover the Drunk Dwarves Gaming Table and that leads us into discussing gaming environment! And then we give homework! Comments[0] |
Sat, 29 August 2009 Have you ever played with a doctor? I have, and we both liked it....alot! This week in studio, we are joined by O-Steve and Skrivus and a partial Sidetrack Nick. In the first segment, we get down to basics with Planetary Empires, Space Hulk and Tyranid rumors before getting into some Hobby University. Don't make the same mistakes I did with washes!!! We also reveal the winner of the Grey Knight army give away. His name is George and he lives at the South Pole...just kidding. For the second segment, Nick and Jon give us a battle report and then we talk about how we are planning on building up our 500 point Planetary Empires lists into 750 point lists and our thoughts as to why we are taking our lists in a specific direction. At some point we actually consult a rule book and are surprised to find out that Richard is wrong for once! And for the third segment, Dan sets up the next phase of his plan to take over the world. Then we pimp a tyranid list. Then we have a new segment called "Don'tchya Know" where O-Steve delves into some often misunderstood facets of the rules. We hope you enjoy this show and posit the theory that your poop is brown because you eat too much brown food. Comments[7] |
Sat, 22 August 2009 In this episode we talk about some stuff, some of it is even Warhammer 40k related! We discuss a little about Space Hulk, not to be confused with Planet Hulk. We talk about composition scores... Mack shows how his often complained about Grey Knights are 100% within the comp score of most tournaments, but that all comp scores do is complicate things and make armies less realistic! Ian talks about his love of the Deff Kopta. It's kind of gross actually. There are some spray paint comparisons, who knew they were all so different! We talk about the Grand Waaagh and how to best pronounce it wrong. We also make up some stories about the U.S.S. Hornet Musuem! Finally we read two emails from Richard! One thought provoking and the later HILARIOUS! Comments[0] |
Sat, 15 August 2009 Sometimes you just have to leave your past, and multi-purpose massager, at home. In this show, Dan and I were joined in the studio by O Steve and gabbed in the first segment about the GW 5000 point army give away. We also round out the first segment with Planetary Empires and other news. During the second segment we pay tribute to the dead by discussing Les Paul and my new record collection. We spend most of this segment discussing the math hammer alternative of Risk vs. Reward in force construction and play style. The final segment we do an Over Rated/Under Rated sent to us by some guy named Mack, take an Eldar list by Eldar Nomad and pimp it out with C-Swizzy's help, and ask for some listener participation. We hope you enjoy this monotone show and hope your hair turns green. Comments[2] |
Sat, 8 August 2009 In this weeks show we try to get into the swing of things with Doug and Ian. It's a little rough but we have a good time... and it's free... so go fuck yourself ok. Don't judge me, you don't know me. I DO WHAT I WANT! We talk about Doug and Ian's background in the first section, then a few other things that randomly pop into our head. In the second section we talk about what makes Ian choose Orks and what his plans are. We even touch on some painting advice that will only end in tears. I can't remember what we talked about in the third session. It was late. I think metagame. Oh and I forget to explain the naked man on a bunk bed. Comments[4] |
Sun, 2 August 2009 This episode proves that square basers are playing the wrong game! In this, the first episode by the Chicago crew, we are joined by Sidetrack Nick. For the first segment we round up news and rumors and go from nearly complete Forge Star Campaign to Space Wolves rumors. What's in-between these two topics is more than just a creamy filling. The second segment Dan and Rich yak up about a great game played on a great table until Jon feels left out and talks about his game on another great table. We tail nicely into how we have changed the basic feel of our armies to be true to our vision of what we play and how we want to play while also following 5th edition and the most current codex. We round out the second segment by discussing Veteran Syndrome and how you can either complain or make changes in your local group for the better. The third segment is an Over-Rated/Under-Rated from Alex in Australia. Over all, a great episode where you will discover, oddly enough, that the other people on the show actually have a voice and know how to use it! Comments[2] |
Sun, 26 July 2009 In this episode we talk about a lot of stuff, but I'm exhausted so here is a quick list. We talk to Jervis. Jervis punches Mack. (Not Really, It's staged, Jervis was great about it). Mack deserves it. The Forge Star. The Space Marine Dick Wow, I'm tired. Gnight! Comments[0] |
Sat, 18 July 2009 In this epidsode we talk about some fun stuff! Well fun for us, and you get get whatcha pay for. Details are given on the changes coming for DLT, Mack is moving but the show isn't going to stop, it's just going to get cooler! We start off talking about Picnic Like Thunder, send your emails to dan@dicelikethunder.com if you are going to join us the day before gamesday! You can find the location here, but contact us so we can get a grip on how much we need to get! Next there is an update everyone on the big army give away, where we are at and where we want to go from here. If you still want to donate now is your chance, the next army we build will be necrons and it will be sweet! Out middle section contains an interview with Ross Watson of Fantasy Flight games! Learn about the upcoming Rogue Trader suppliment and how it can spice up your 40k universe love! Oh, and we get the difinitive answer to the age old question... "Do Cherubs Poop?" Lastly we bust out some user content and have a great time doing it! Tau and Psykers are on everyones mind! Comments[0] |
Sat, 11 July 2009 There is a contest somewhere in this episode...but you should only listen if your name is Fizban or Zifnab. Are you Sartan? In the first segment we discuss how the Buycott is going and find out that Mack is waffling on Planetstrike after being verbally owned. We round out this segment with news about the donations and army painting and finish it off with news about Richard's twin-linked Autocannon. In the second segment we discuss budget army building. Mack/Demons, Richard/Eldar and Dan/Tau talk about what units they would take for a 1500 point force that costs less than $300 retail price. This second segment is packed with force selection and proposed tactics and the pros/cons of taking one unit over another. And in the middle somewhere, being away from the old folk's home gets to Dan. We finish the show with a combo of two under-rated/over-rated emails from our listeners that range from Obliterators to Bleached Bone. And the final shout out to all those who sent me pictures of someone in a penis costume riding a bike...along with a cooler picture too! As always, if you have a Pimp My List or Under-rated/Over-rated, please send it to richard@dicelikethunder.com. Also, if you are attending the Drunk Like Thunder picnic before Games Day Chicago, please email dan@dicelikethunder.com. Au revoir! Comments[3] |
Sun, 5 July 2009 Because of Dan's advancing age, he was not on the show tonight. However we did have Mack, Skrivus and Infinitepi and myself. The first segment was spent as a news round up for our Buycott, a new Horus Heresy novel, Dawn of War II balancing plans and how we are expanding our army give away to more than just one. We also respond to feedback we've received about the boycott... and we THANK YOU ALL for being so generous and really making this prize we are building truly epic! For the second segment we talk about Infinitepi vs Tricky Dick (Orks vs Space Marines) and getting back to basics with units to show that upgraded does not always equal better units. Then we get into a little bit about Skrivus and his Marines facing off against Eldar. To round out the second segment we discuss some of the balancing issues involved with revising older codices and the balancing involved in the mini-dex's and campaign that we are writing. Finally, we pimp an Ork list from a listener named Chris and finish things off with a Halle Barry quote. Who knew a dude in a penis costume riding a bike could be so funny! Send your pictures of male genitals to Richard@dicelikethunder.com Comments[1] |
Sat, 27 June 2009 We don't hit the g-spot with this show, but we take you to a different place that's equally as good! We get into a little more detail concerning our Planet Strike boycott and reveal our new "Buycott" plan! This involves a major contest with the possibility of a fully painted army as a prize. So listen and if you want to be a part Donate to the cause! For the second segment it is revealed that Mack was beaten...and badly. We also talk about Chaos Bikes and their structure and use while discussing some cool moments from several games that we played tonight. Then we finish the segment with discussion about games and campaigns that are not standard and how much fun they can be. Finally, we pimp a list given to us by Seawurm and discuss several options that he can take to improve his Slaanesh Marine list. And finally, we discuss an Albert Einstien quote submitted to us by Brother Dux and talk about damage control and how it is important when deciding the best action to take with units. We hope you enjoy this show. As always, if you have a special quote, a list to pimp, and/or an under-rated/over-rated submission, please send it to richard@dicelikethunder.com Comments[1] |
Sat, 20 June 2009 This episode is so full of stuff, your progenoid will quiver with excitement. In this episode with Retro John, we talk about boycotting Planetstrike and the cold shoulder GW is giving to other aspects of 40K. Also in the first segment, we learn that Richard received a surprise visit at the Battle Bunker from his wife carrying a urine soaked stick. The second segment we get into transport goodness and all the cool things you can do with the various transports from the codices. The third segment we read a great under rated/over rated piece about Dark Angels and classic models. We cap off the third segment with a PIMP MY LIST! piece. We learn some lessons as to what an imbalanced fluffy list can be altered to so that it is competitive against all. We sincerely hope you enjoy this episode. As always, if you have an UR/OR segment or a list you want us to pimp out, please send it to richard@dicelikethunder.com Comments[0] |
Sat, 13 June 2009 Tonight we had so much fun, it would make a old woman blush and a young girl squeal. In the first segment, Mack apologizes and then we delve into death threats: who knew they could be so funny? For the second segment, each of us talks about our army and then we let the others talk about how to make it better. And finally we round out the show with some great under rated/ over rated from 1.5 listeners. Thrown into the mix is an Imperial News Service update. Comments[2] |
Sat, 6 June 2009 In this Episode we totally do not talk about Canada. We DO however talk about these things: The War For The Cure The Forge Star Campaign Necrons Our Favorite Units Our least favorite Units Over-rated/Under-rated listener submissions So give it a listen and begin your seething hatred of us today! Comments[0] |
Sun, 31 May 2009 You're not much, but you're good enough for now - Weird Al Yankovic. And that really sums up this show until we can get you another one next week. We recorded a false first segment in which Mack and Rich have some heated discussion about what a "fair" list consists of and, when two players are evenly matched, if the list is still "fair" after the opponent does not have a good time playing. But the real first segment consists of some great news and rumors that have been confirmed, not confirmed and teased. The second segment is an Over-Rated/Under-Rated piece sent to us by Skrivus which had us discussing other OR/UR facets of the game. And finally, we close out with a few random quotes and general talk. Like I said, this episode is not much, but it's good enough for now. We apologize. Comments[1] |
Mon, 25 May 2009 Available later today will be Episode 41. It is so smooth, crisp, clear and refreshing that you'll crap yourself. Here is the song we were talking about: DOWNLOAD We start the show with some important news segments from around the 40K universe and then top it off with talk of Mighty Empires and Planet Strike....and why they are doing these releases vice printing new codices for those armies in need. Then we get into Independent Character HQ's and when you would or would not take these over the stand HQ choice. Finally, Mack regales us with lessons learned from his tournament last Saturday. Then we close the show with 3 email submissions for the Under-Rated/Over-Rated segment. Mack also started a new blog this week at mack.dicelikethunder.com where he will talk about development theory as it pertains to fluid 40k and other crap. We hope you enjoy our 41st episode Comments[1] |
Sun, 17 May 2009 Here is the soon to be legendary episode 40! I know! We talk about a lot of stuff, especially this clip here as mentioned on the show: DOWNLOAD IT! All the credit goes to richard@dicelikethunder.com. We also talk about pacing... just a little... for like 40 minutes. Oh and there is something about this new website myBattalion.com. We mention it cus it's CRAZY AWESOME. Along with their sister podcast SaveOrDie! Comments[6] |
Sat, 9 May 2009 This is a near classic episode last night with the addition of Jon. It
also marks the first time where Rich is not completely "all there" for the
show. Much drinking occurred before we recorded. We talk a little about the Star Trek movie we saw last night and then we transition into the games that Dan and Mack and Skrivus had against each other before the movie. And for some reason, Mack admits that he can't get his unit into a six inch hole. After my computer's Machine Spirit went crazy, we discuss some Marine hunting and delve into target priority when facing Marines. Finally, we discuss Dezzo's under-rated/over-rated piece and then use a quote to springboard into why we take the fluff of 40K so seriously and when it's taken too far! We hope you enjoy! Comments[0] |
Mon, 4 May 2009 Lots of updates to our Fluid40k system today. All received an overhaul with tons of changes. Fluid 40k adapted to the new Guard Codex with changes and clarifications on Inducted Guard. As well some overlooked rules were addressed. Firefight has had man clarifications. DLT Missions underwent even more balance testing. We are up over 12 Thousand downloads for this document, so either 1 person really likes it or this is very well received. The hundreds of emails I have gotten about it tell me it's the later. Thanks for all the help and feedback to make the DLT missions book even better! Sat, 2 May 2009 In
this episode, we talk about how to carry your army. From Mack wanting
to get custom Battlefoam for his new Guard to my Sabol Design
Transports to Dan's modified Tool Box for his cast of Nids, we get into
transporting your army for games and at tournaments. Then we BS about
Star Trek where CSwizzy admits he might be a closet Star Trek fan. Next, we get into Imperial Guard hunting. Honestly, I'm really tired of hearing about these new Guard, but when we talk about killing them, I'm a happy guy! But because we have such a GREAT show, we not only talk about killing them, we talk about tactics for some of these units as well. Also during this segment, Rich talks about an anniversary and Mack reveals his sniffing fetish. For the third segment, Mack rants about something not 40K related (War Machine). Then we get into some over-rated/under-rated from Skrivus about the dirty Tau. And finally, we poke fun at our British cousins by way of an Eric Clapton quote. While Clapton is talking about the awesomeness that is American Mississippi Delta Blues, we corrupt, twist, and turn it towards 40K. Comments[2] |
Sat, 25 April 2009 Tonight was a classic episode in that we had only Mack, Dan and myself. We talk/rant about some things Jervis said regarding friendly/tournament players and then we put our own spin on things. We discuss some over-rated/under-rated contributions by Koschai. Then we go off on a three way 'kill you, kill me' segment. Starting with one unit, the next person talks about how to counter it. Then the next person counters the second person ... continue ad infinitum. Planet Strike! I don't know much about it, but since it seems geared towards a 500-1500 point game, I'm interested! No quotes, not out-takes. We get back to the classic set up and lots of great tactics and strategy. Comments[2] |
Sat, 18 April 2009 Fun times tonight, we talk about: DLT Missions More Under/Over Rated (From Dezzo) Chaos Hunting Sun Tzu is Back with a vengeance! Comments[0] |
Sun, 12 April 2009 Did you know that a pitcher of Long Island Ice Tea can't make "Fast & Furious" not suck? Seriously, Vin Diesel takes a bullet, there is no exit wound... even though it was nearly point blank. He then later has the wound looked at and his sister (who apparently handles bullet wounds all the time) even SAYS that there is no bullet. Where did the bullet go? Did it fall out? Did Vin Diesel's body eat it? Oh... and "You have 15 seconds" is a heads up that OVER A MINUTE LATER the 15 seconds will actually be up. What does this have to do with episode 35? Nothing, I'm just drunk. Comments[1] |
Mon, 6 April 2009 It's all a blur of tears and glue. I can't even remember what all we talked about! Enjoy the show! Comments[1] |
Sun, 5 April 2009 We are very lucky to have Ross Watson in studio with us today to talk about Dark Heresy and the wide world of ... well Dark Heresy. Just like all our other special episodes this one is all about a game set in the same universe as Warhammer 40k, but unlike the others this one has a guest of import! It's like we are credible! Comments[0] |
Sat, 28 March 2009 Well here it is... a show with so many gay jokes it's like an Andrew Dice Clay montage. I really can't even begin to describe all the things we talk about on the show but they include: Contests Ork Hunting Building up an army And so much more! Comments[0] |
Sat, 21 March 2009 Ok... I don't even know what to say about today's show. We talk about
a lot of things, but we basically offended every single person
listening to the show at some point or another. I mean seriously... WE ARE SORRY. Just the stuff I say about "Casual vs. Competitive" is going to get me some hate mail. I'm pretty sure someone even says something racist. Oh god it's all over isn't it? We also talk about Imperial Guard, and... well OK we basically just offend people for an hour and a half. So... Sorry. REALLY, I mean it. SORRY. Comments[3] |
Sat, 14 March 2009 This week we had a lot of fun, despite Mack being exhausted by finals and graduation! We talk about a wide variety of topics, the most notable of which is a response to last weeks challenge! We talk about how between the time we recorded and the time we put the show on the internet Spencer and the crew from www.40kradio.com accepted our challenge! Spencer joins us via Skype for a little chat and to respond to our LazerTag challenge! There might also be a drinking game! Elite choices and their myriad of uses! We talk about something we can't talk about yet... Our table building challenge. Hoping to get the guys from This Week In Wargaming involved, and anyone else who wants to build a show table with us! Campaign fun, hope for campaign reporting that entertains people in the future! Comments[0] |
Sat, 7 March 2009 So in this episode we put our foot in our collective mouths! We talk about a lot of stuff and have a good time doing it, but then we say something that as of today makes us look dumb! We are eating our crow though and letting it out into the wilderness! We talk about: A thanks to everyone who supports us by using our Google ads! Bunkers no longer stocking Forge World Upcoming Horus Heresy books Listener participation! Send those home brew P.I.S.S. segments to richard@dicelikethunder.com T-Shirts, WOOT! Fast Attack choices and their myriad of uses! We call out the guys at 40kradio who are rolling up in our hood! At the time of the recording we hadn't heard back from them. As of this posting it turns out WE ARE BIG JERKS! Props to the guys from 40kradio for being downright cool chaps! Warhamme 40k quotes! Comments[0] |
Sun, 1 March 2009 So here is episode 28! As is normal we had a blast recording it... even with Mack being pretty much unconscious the entire time! In this show we talk about: Our New T-Shirts & other ways to help support the show! Our friends over at miniwargaming. We discuss how to properly give and receive criticism and the subtle difference between criticism and opinion! If you want to get into the campaign we are talking about in the Chicago area here is Kris's email! We talk about HQ's and their role in all our armies. Quotes from history! Today is Patton Day! Enjoy & Thanks for listening! Comments[2] |
Sat, 21 February 2009 Well the podcast is done and uploaded for your listening perusal. We have a friend in studio and it was a lot of fun for us! In this episode we talk about: The Imperial Guard rumors including THIS picture! Campaigns, why they are fun and how to get you & your friends into one. We talk a little about our upcoming "quick and dirty" rules. The Assault phase! The Not-so-Sun Tzu's art of war... NAZI edition! As promised Mr. Magle's email if you want to get in touch with him about joining a Chicago area campaign is kmagle@comcast.net There was a bit of confusion with the ol' .net vs .com. I kept telling him it was .net but nobody believed me! As usual I'm always right! Comments[0] |
Sat, 14 February 2009 Yet again, we are Mack-less....or are we? This episode of DLT is brought to you by Mike Jacobs. We discuss the outcome of the Mack v. Rich campaign and the final mission. Did Batman save the furry kittens from the fire? Is Rich falling to Chaos? Does Mack take his toys and go home again? Also, we discuss Adepticon the space on my office floor for a blow up mattress. We announce the winner of the Chaos entity competition. We discuss our next contest and some of the guidelines for it.
